We asked for your best Chief installs, and boy did you deliver. We’re running a contest to share the best or most unique installs using Chief products in 2014. We’re sharing the entries on the Chief blog and on social media. One entry will win our grand prize.
The Pennsylvania National Guard constructed a new Joint Emergency Operations Center located at Fort Indiantown Gap just outside of Annville, Pennsylvania. Along with the new operations center building, the National Guard requested to have a new video wall display and ancillary displays installed within the operations center rather than removing and reinstalling the older, failing video wall system.
Visual Sound used Chief’s ConnexSys Video Wall Mounting System to install a 3×6 display configuration of 55” NEX X series flat panels. Four ancillary displays were mounted throughout the room using Fusion LTMU tilting wall mounts and PDRUB swing arm mounts. The swing arm mounts were chosen to allow side displays to be positioned for daily operations or as confidence monitors for debriefing purposes.
The installation also used three Chief CMS491 plenum-rated storage boxes for the backup ceiling projectors. In addition to the operations center was the installation of dual 70” displays within a briefing room for presentation and video teleconferencing purposes. The Chief Fusion LTMU mounts were chosen for the mounting of these displays.
The project was a success. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett was present for the unveiling and ceremony (pictured below).
