Digital Signage Expo: What to Expect from Chief This Year

Digital signage is growing like crazy, and Chief has been matching that pace. Since the last Digital Signage Expo, Chief has been designing and shipping a wide range of solutions to meet each new challenge presented in digital signage markets.

Consider this a preview tour of all the new solutions we’re bringing to the show this year. You’ll find us at booth 119. And we’re walking, and walking…

First, let’s start with video walls. The FUSION® Series freestanding video wall carts and the bolt down video wall mounts come in a variety of landscape and portrait configurations. These modular solutions can be combined to achieve video walls up to three displays high and any length.

Ceiling mounted multiple displays are next. We’ll have the award-winning 3×3 ceiling mounted solution at the show. You’ll be able to see quality features like independent height, plumb, and lateral shift adjustment knobs for easy alignment; no tools required! Be sure to note the adjustable offset piece (not pictured here) that keeps the weight of the screens directly under the columns to eliminate ceiling stress and swing caused by gravity.

The ceiling mounted menu board configurations include Centris tilt so screens stay where you place them for effortless multi-screen alignment in seconds – I’m told this feature can’t be stressed enough and solves a lot of time for installers.

The menu board ceiling mounts also come with Centerless™ lateral shift for tight screen positioning; ControlZone Leveling; and landscape or portrait options.

Continuing on this virtual booth preview tour, we turn to the land of single display mounts. The Fusion single display ceiling mounts available from Chief feature continuous tilt ranges with four set locking points that eliminate guesswork when adjusting multiple screens; simple on/off connection; tool-free latching flags to secure the display; optional padlock security; and optimization for a wide range of display sizes. Portrait and back-to-back options will be available soon.

The Fusion cart and stand single screen solutions come with quick adjustment features that make them perfect for temporary digital signage requirements. A turn knob lets a single user smoothly raise and lower the screen up to 20 inches (50 cm). With a half-inch hex bit on a power drill, you can raise and lower the mount in seconds.

Just down the booth a bit, you’ll find a trio of iPad® mounts. The increased use of the iPad for digital signage has driven the need for a range of mounting options – options that we are more than happy to provide. Chief’s secure iPad interface works with Kontour series desk and wall mounts. The flush mount interface secures your iPad to a wall or desk in any position you need. The tamper-resistant design deters theft and safeguards connections for cable charging and synching. Both interfaces accommodate the iPad2 and iPad with Retina display and are ideal for public spaces.

Need a rack solution that works well with digital signage? Because we’re bringing that too.

Chief wall mounted racks feature heavy-duty welded construction and come with horizontal slots to make hanging the back panel simple, saving you time and energy. The W1 series hinged wall racks can be installed to open from either side for easy access to cabling. Chief’s wall mounted racks are engineered with a full line of features to help with cable and thermal management.
